RWC 2015/19 BidWe recently assisted the SA Rugby Union (SARU) with its bid to the International Rugby Board (IRB) to become the host of either the 2015 or the 2019 Rugby World Cup tournament. Despite the fact that SA Rugby submitted a highly impressive bid – acknowledged as such by the IRB Chairman – other factors resulted in SARU losing out narrowly to England (2015) and Japan (2019). |

Commercial Rights of British & Irish LionsAccelerate was involved in the British & Irish Lions tour, with the implementation and management of the commercial rights programme. This involved a full time presence with the team, for the duration of their seven week tour of SA, to ensure that all the sponsors’/suppliers’ commercial rights were protected and exploited. |

Rugby Town 2007A highly successful project was the creation and operation of Rugby World Cup 2007’s single-largest “fan park”, known as Rugby Town, which was situated at the Trocadero in Paris (close to the Eiffel Tower), and which attracted in excess of half a million fans during the tournament. The success of this project stands Accelerate in good stead to launch significant bids to provide such facilities for future major international events. |
