Accelerate Sport, the commercial and marketing agency for The Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) recently announced four new sponsorship agreements for the COSAFA U20 Championship to be held in Kitwe, Zambia.
Mopani Copper Mines have taken up the event naming rights for the tournament happening in their key territory and they have been joined by Fairy Bottling as the presenting partner for the Under-20 Championship. In addition, MTN and Liquid Telecom have come on board as associate partners.
The four new deals are a much needed injection for COSAFA to ensure they reach the required funding to support and develop youth football in Southern Africa.
The U20 Championship, set to be held in Kitwe, Zambia from the 6 – 16 December 2017, will see 12 nations compete, with two exciting guest teams Egypt and Uganda joining 10 COSAFA member nations.
The new sponsorship deals have built upon an impressive 2017 for Accelerate Sport who have also been responsible for new agreements between Bitou Municipality and The SA Senior Tour, Growthpoint and Squash South Africa and Volkswagen and the World Surf League.
